Frank and John were part of the Pig Family, a group in the 1990's San Francisco. The group was defined in a by a member quoted to Rosen as "a group of people who found each other by their mutual interest in S/M, good food, fundraising, and general mayhem." This pose showcases the trust John had in Frank.
